Hg,
Well said. That's why I always bear that in mind and incorporate it into my life.
Live life to the fullest and enjoy all the little simple things, especially human relationship with family and friends.

HG, so sorry to hear about your mom. On a lighter note, I saw Billy Joel last month. He was on a Greatest Hits Tour around the world, and, yes, he sung Uptown Girl as well but I preferred his earlier stuff, his 70s songs.

Music wise - hmmmm my absolute fav past time besides food, reading travelling and theatre and art of course. I listen anything from Connie Francis, Kenny Rogers, Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, Anne Murray to Depeche Mode, Bruce Springsteen, Tears for Fears, Culture Club, George Michael, The Mission, Led Zepplin, The Clash, The Cult, Bread all the way to today's music, James Blunt, Ronan Keating, Muse, Kaiser Chief, Sergio Mendes, Coldplay, Travis etc.

Hello OT,

I can't agree more with what you said.

I still remember what my mum said to me before she died. She said no amount of bad obstacles , hurtful & painful experiences that one could not overcome except for dying, that is when you know you have to leave your loved ones behind & there's nothing much you could do except to embrace it.

Sorry, i know this is a bit out of topic, but i suddenly get a bit sentimental , so do bear with me..

Hg,
Please accept my late condolences. Believe me, I could feel for you. Frankly, I used to be a mama's boy (at least that's what my older brother used to perceive me), as I had spent all of my youthful years accompanying her till her death, when I was in Form 5. Anyway, she and my dad definitely helped shaped the core values in my adult, family life.
Take care.
