After sailing two days from the Port of Los Angeles, we reached our 1st port of call in Mexico - Cabo San Lucas.

Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are two communities on the stretch of coast that connects them, known as "The Corridor". The rocky spires and arches that characterize the southern tip of Baja California tranformed the towns into a fly-in and sail-in resort destination.

It boasts fine beaches, luxurious surroundings, lively nightlife and some of the best sportfishing in the world. In the past few years, swanky new hotels and condos have filled the landscape along the 20 mile corridor separating the two towns.

What's the name of the cruise line? Princess? Length of cruise is 7 days or 5? Where are your other stops?

BTW, did you gain weight? Hahahaha.....

lobak,

We took the NCL's 7-night Free Style Cruise. The ports of call are Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. We actually wanted to go 8 nights and as far south as Acapulco, but that port destination was deleted by the cruise line for this year, when fuel prices went up too high.

FYI, I actually lost 1 lb., as we worked out in the fitness center every other day and always try to use the stairs instead of the elevators.
In fact three in our family group that did it for the first time like it so much that they are urging me to plan for another in the near future.

#6 Another shot over the pool area.

#7 A shot at another cruise ship in the harbor at Cabo San Lucas.

#8 Looking at the shoreline.

#9 Ferry boats that carry passengers from the other ship to the shore, as this port is not deep enough for the cruise ships to dock. We have to use similar means of transportation as well.

The smaller, faster boat at the bottom of #9 is a water taxi.

#10 Another shot at the shoreline.

#11 This is the kind of ferry boat that take us to shore.

#12 Another cruise ship.

In #10, you could also see two parasails in action.

To be continued later.
