this music forum is under utilized lah...so i thought maybe we can start something new here.

back to the topic..anyone one out there fancy chinese songs...be it cantonese, mandarin, hokkien, hakka...tell us your fav. , what do u think of them - in terms of quality and originality. old school vs. new school ....it's an open field and it's all about chinese songs !

Nowadays I seldom listen to song, not like early young days.

I prefer taiwanese song writer than HK.

D chinese song lyrics of yesteryears r often meaningful unlike most of d songs 2day. D lyrics of a lot of these song r rubbish. No1 cares bout it cos d tempo of these song r for Head Swingging [img]graemlins/mgun.gif[/img]

wow!!! i'm into her songs too, and the 10th aniversary of her passing was just last week. my personal fav - in no particular order: 甜蜜蜜, 但愿人长久 , 漫步人生路 (a very rare cantonese song by taresa)

that's soo true tom...i can simply pick out a song today and 9 out of 10 times it'll be rubbish. Heard of chu yan's "washing machine"...yuk!! total rubbish !! [img]graemlins/eviltongue.gif[/img]

Maybe I'm not qualified to touch on chinese songs since i don't pay much attention to it..
but i find the recent songs by F.I.R. are pretty good especially the one entitled "wo men de ai", literal translation would be "Our love"
Aiyo..really touches me la..
