Hi Forummers

Can anybody give me any feed back on the condos in Prima Ipoh? I've had some feedback from Kris but would like to hear more from anybody else. Thanks.

Prima Condo was the lst condo development in Ipoh.

Pros
- Excellent location, very central, very convenient, I'd consider de best location of all the condos
- Easily to rent and re-sell, popular among expats.
- Reasonable sized floor area (1500 s.f.?)
- Views should be nice for units on higher floors
- freehold title


Cons
-Management and building maintenance suck big time. Same management as Heritage Hotel(Ipoh & and Camerons) and Greenhill Apartments in Camerons.

- can't expect much from the facilities. Anyone can confirm?

- limited parking, wonder whether there are carparks for visitors.

5 pros against 3 cons. Hard decision. We went to see an apartment yesterday and observed the following:

- pool itself was clean except for the tiles surrounding it. Looked like algae on the white tiles.

- garden was reasonably well kept.

- there was a room allocated for a gym but was told it's not operational. Wonder why?

- laundry opened at certain times. Not self-service.

- guards at main gate and another one at the entrance of the block (We saw the Derby Block which, I understand, is the newer of the 2 blocks)

Can anything be done about management if it is bad? I suppose it also all boils down to the fact that if some residents don't pay the maintenance levy then there is no money for maintenance. But then what happens to the money paid by some residents?

Ah, if this is another development by Woo brothers u can expect them to collect money n do nothing.

Another unit? Haven't bought one yet. We're renting at the moment.

Looking,looking mah. Saw 2 at Meru today, seeing another one tomorrow and another on Wed. night....all in Meru. Yes, we love Meru but Prima is in a prime location. Just the management is holding us back.
