Dr. Mahathir is going to retire soon. What do you think about his decision? Good or bad?

well,
if PM insists wants to quit, we should respect his decision, he done his job as a proud malaysian by building up the country and gathered all the malaysians together.. it's not a matter of who's the PM or what...it's just how we're going to face the future ourselves... eventhough we have a great PM like dr. mahathir, what's the use of a good leader since the population themselve doesn't want to help themselve...it's like feeding to a dead dog... u know what i mean?

so no matter who's the pm, i think it's the best for us to unite as one... not as just simply becoming a malaysian with different culture or somesort... a hand of frenship and brotherhood is the most important and the unity of the malaysians is the key to success of our future

Well, I see wat you mean... feeding to a dead dog is a funny description (but definitely no offence alrite?)...

Dr. Mahathir said the country would keep doing their own way, preserving the same style in running the govt... well, if like that, I hope we do our good way, preserve the good style, but eliminate all the bad habits... that's the only govt we want...

Just hope our new govt is a fairer govt... and all ppl work hard to maintain our harmony society...

Actually I feel quite sad that Mahathir retired.... feel that he is a good leader.....
Hope your new PM is as good or better than him, and can improve ties between Singapore & Malaysia...

Dr. M is a great leader, but our country needs some freshness so I think it's time for a change.
I think our new prime minister should can do the job well, hope so.

Cool

Many of us think that Dr. M is a great leader.

But some think otherwise, you can read their opinions from the following links:

Let "History" makes the judgement and we shall see.

Question

The followings are some statistics provided by iCapital.biz:

1. Our country average GDP growth rate from 1961 to 1981 was 11.9%. Whereas from 1982 to 2002, i.e. during Dr. M's management of the country, the growth rate was 9.3%.

2. In 1982, the average productivity of our country was US1,852.00/person and the Korean was US1,895.00/person. There was little difference between the two countries. However, in 2002, the Korean was US10,006.00/person and ours was US3,915.00/person. Why are we lagging behind in such a big difference?

3. The Korean cars are selling like hot cakes in Malaysia but our national cars are still under protection by the government. Why?

Why because our Proton factory is 100% hak milik Malaysia and KIA is not even 50% milik korea...tat's why..... we should be proud of proton liao.... we did that by our own money and resource...

What is the purpose of owning 100% if we Malaysians have to pay more for lower quality compare with the imported cars?

What is the purpose of owning 100% if they can not compete in the international market?

What is the purpose of owning 100% if they can only survive under the protection of the government?
