Are you in zhuhai now?? If so, how's the place? Safe? Good for sight seeing?
I swing by Hong Kong every year, always thought of crossing to Zhuhai City from Macao.
Sori for the late reply.
Yes, I am Ipohan but worked and stayed in Zhuhai and Shenzhen, China.
Well! If you were to compare Shenzhen (10 millions population) and Zhuhai (01 million population), I will definitely pick Zhuhai, which is more relaxing and the city not so big.
Like most of the China cities, not many tourist spots except Pearl Lady (the symbol of Zhuhai), Wan Chai Seafood Market (A must, you cannot find any in Malaysia), Dim Sum in Jin Yue Xuan (Rather expensive) or Wu Yue Hua Gongbei (very popular to Macau people), Shopping in Lian Hua Lu and Gongbei Underground (Barang tiruan good and reasonable cheap if you are good in bargain). But be careful of these two places, a lot of pick pocket.
Plentiful of night life and drinking place. For drinking places you can either go to Shui Wan Jiu Ba Jie (Bar Street) or Lian Hua Lu.
From Hong Kong (Through China Macau Centre or China Hong Kong Centre), there is regular ferries to Jiu Zhou Gang (Zhuhai), about 70 minutes.
From Macau, you may enter through Guan Cha (Macau) through walk, Wan Chai (through ferry - 02 minutes) and Heng Qing (bus service from Macau Airport).
Overall, Zhuhai is a very nice and clean city and worth a visit.
