Default Spain, Gibarltar, Morocco & Portugal.

Spain

Spain is a country located mostly in southwestern Europe.

She has an area of 504,030 kmē, Spain is the second largest country in Western Europe after France.

The population of Spain is approximately 40 million

Because of its location, Spain has been subject to many external influences, often simultaneously, since prehistoric times. At times the country itself has been an important source of influence to other regions. Archaeological and genetic evidence strongly suggests that the Iberian Peninsula acted as one of three major refugia from which northern Europe was repopulated following the end of the last ice age. It has also played an important part in Europe and even the world at certain historic times; in the latter case when it was the seat of a global empire that has left a legacy of 400 million Spanish speakers today. The combination of external influences with the interactions of the culturally and politically differentiated regions of the rugged peninsula has produced a dramatic history, typified by alternating periods of unity and disunity under very different regimes

Mainland Spain is dominated by high plateaus and mountain ranges, such as the Sierra Nevada. Running from these heights are several major rivers such as the Tagus, the Ebro, the Duero, the Guadiana and the Guadalquivir. Alluvial plains are found along the coast, the largest of which is that of the Guadalquivir in Andalusia.

Map of Spain, Portugal & part of Morocco.

I will be posting photos from those towns/cities as marked in the blue boxes as well as circled in red as shown below.

A bigger map of the Northern part of Morocco

I think I'll do this slowly cos' I lost abt 350 photos from the last part of Terrimolinos, Saville, Lisbon, Gibarltar & Morocco and I am still trying to
re-construct the sequence from the other travelling friends.

UC,
Hats off to you for taking so many photos on your travel and writing down such details from your trip.
Frankly, I'm bad in this respect. More often than not, I was too busy interacting with my own family and loved ones or too busy enjoying my meal and forgot to take pictures. Sigh...

MADRID

Some might argue that Madrid lacks the architectural assertion of Barcelona, but the Spanish capital is certainly no supine European neighbourhood. This city is packed with sights and activities - for a taste of art and culture, Madrid offers a prodigious 72 museums (including the renowned Prado Museum), lively markets and traditional tapas bars.

The administrative and financial centre of Spain pulsates with activity, but it was only until the mid-16th century that Madrid became home to Hispanic kings, the royal court and consequentially, was titled “capital”.

Any Madrileņo will tell you about the city’s turbulent and eventful past – they will also tell you there is nowhere else they would rather live. Madrid will have you captivated and very likely, coming back for more.

~~~
We stayed for a night in Hotel Rafael Orense and proceeded to Toledo by coach the next day.
So as of now I have only a few photos of Madrid taken while walking around the city and in the coach.
I'll have more photos of Madrid at the end of a round trip down-south ( to Gibarltar, Morocco & Portugal) when we came back to Madrid.
Here are some photos taken randomly.
