Default Why go to hospital?

Obviously to get better, but see what happened when medics stick a needle in the body tissue instead of a vein. It's not even an operation yet. Would you go there again?

Looking at the photo, it looks like hot boiling water was the cause.

I do not think it's from injection

I know the person, the hospital staff stuck the needle into her flesh instead of the vein. Kl lah, one of the highly touted places. Don't know if she will let me name it. She has friends there I think.

IJN. Better not implicate other innocent hospitals. I have heard only praises from others who had surgery there. Are they getting complacent?

It's supposed to give affordable specialist service. Imagine getting radioactive fluid into your vein, it's scary but necessary for ct scan. Now how would you feel if it enters your flesh. That's why it looks like scalding, it is another form of scalding.

Usually, after they insert the intravenous needle, they'd inject saline to confirm that they've got the veins. If it hurts, it means they've missed, or so I was told.

Obviously they didn't do that, or maybe their standard operating procedure is different. It's possible . For example two persons had colonoscopy. One had to drink 2 litres of some solution to clean the bowels and another had to drink just a glass of the concentrated solution followed by 2 litres of plain water. I would prefer the second method.

Maybe Ijn was trying to save time and money and skipped the saline step. No matter what, this is very disappointing. Ijn is supposed to give international level service at affordable price.

Ps don't know if they will sue. Husband n wife are both pensioners, don't know if they want to deal with lawyers. It's not easy to find good ones. I had lived overseas and had never read letters to the editors thanking public servants or private sectors for good service. It was the norm. In this country, it is reason to celebrate and be thankful if nurses are polite to you at public hospitals or the emergency staff handle your case in less than hour or a policeman helped you..... (Lol)
